Strengthening disaster risk management capacities program initiates
JACOBABAD: Community Development Foundation (CDF) with support of United States Agency for International Development (USAID) under Ambassador’sGrant Fund Program (AFGP) organized a project launching ceremony in Jacobabad for “Strengthening disaster risk management capacities of the vulnerable communities in UC Ahmed Pur, District Jacobabad”.
While addressing the audience, Mr. Muhammad Jan Odhano, the CEO of CDF said, “This 8-month project, being implemented by CDF, aims at enhancing the capacities of community and government officials on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) in UC Ahmedpur, District Jacobabad.”
Ms. Hina, the Project Manager, informed the participants that CDF would form 15 Emergency Response Teams (ERT) in targeted villages of UC Ahmedpur. CDF will organize capacity building sessions and workshops for ERTs, District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) and community members.
