Strength­en­ing dis­as­ter risk man­age­ment ca­pac­i­ties pro­gram ini­ti­ates

JACOBABAD: Com­mu­nity De­vel­op­ment Foun­da­tion (CDF) with sup­port of United States Agency for In­ter­na­tional De­vel­op­ment (USAID) un­der Am­bas­sador’sGrant Fund Pro­gram (AFGP) or­ga­nized a project launch­ing cer­e­mony in Jacobabad for “Strength­en­ing dis­as­ter risk man­age­ment ca­pac­i­ties of the vul­ner­a­ble com­mu­ni­ties in UC Ahmed Pur, Dis­trict Jacobabad”.

While ad­dress­ing the au­di­ence, Mr. Muham­mad Jan Od­hano, the CEO of CDF said, “This 8-month project, be­ing im­ple­mented by CDF, aims at en­hanc­ing the ca­pac­i­ties of com­mu­nity and govern­ment of­fi­cials on Dis­as­ter Risk Re­duc­tion (DRR) in UC Ahmed­pur, Dis­trict Jacobabad.”

Ms. Hina, the Project Man­ager, in­formed the par­tic­i­pants that CDF would form 15 Emer­gency Re­sponse Teams (ERT) in tar­geted vil­lages of UC Ahmed­pur. CDF will or­ga­nize ca­pac­ity build­ing ses­sions and work­shops for ERTs, Dis­trict Dis­as­ter Man­age­ment Author­ity (DDMA) and com­mu­nity mem­bers.
