Swedish Am­bas­sador for Hu­man Rights calls on Dr Shireen Mazari

World should take no­tice on hu­man rights vi­o­la­tion in IoK: Mazari

IS­LAM­ABAD: Swedish Am­bas­sador for Hu­man Rights, Democ­racy and Rule of Law, Ms An­nika Ben David along with Am­bas­sador of Swe­den, In­grid Jo­hans­son was called on the Fed­eral Min­is­ter for Hu­man Rights Dr Shireen M Mazari here Fri­day. They dis­cussed in de­tail var­i­ous hu­man rights is­sues and con­cerns and how we are tack­ling these is­sues in Pak­istan and Swe­den. Mat­ters re­lated to the rights of Mus­lim com­mu­nity re­sid­ing in some states of Euro­pean Union also came un­der dis­cus­sion.

Mean­while, Mazari has said that the Pak­istan is aware of bru­tal­i­ties in In­dian oc­cu­pied Kash­mir and it will move be­yond rhetoric to find a con­flict res­o­lu­tion so­lu­tion premised on plebiscite.

Dr. Mazari was talk­ing to a del­e­ga­tion of All Par­ties Hur­riyat Con­fer­ence (APHC) led by Con­venor, Ghu­lam Muham­mad Safi, that called.

Del­e­ga­tion com­prised of Sayyed Faiz Naqsh­bandi, Mehmood Ah­mad Saghar, Ab­dul Hameed Lone, Raja Khadim Hus­sain and Ms Shamim Shawal. They dis­cussed the pre­vail­ing hu­man rights sit­u­a­tion es­pe­cially The United Na­tions, Of­fice of the High Com­mis­sioner for Hu­man Rights (OHCHR) Re­port on Kash­mir and how best we can pro­ceed fur­ther on con­flict res­o­lu­tion. Mat­ters re­lated to the hu­man rights vi­o­la­tions in In­dian Oc­cu­pied Kash­mir and pro­tracted rights of peo­ple of Kash­mir also came un­der dis­cus­sion.
