Swedish Ambassador for Human Rights calls on Dr Shireen Mazari
World should take notice on human rights violation in IoK: Mazari
ISLAMABAD: Swedish Ambassador for Human Rights, Democracy and Rule of Law, Ms Annika Ben David along with Ambassador of Sweden, Ingrid Johansson was called on the Federal Minister for Human Rights Dr Shireen M Mazari here Friday. They discussed in detail various human rights issues and concerns and how we are tackling these issues in Pakistan and Sweden. Matters related to the rights of Muslim community residing in some states of European Union also came under discussion.
Meanwhile, Mazari has said that the Pakistan is aware of brutalities in Indian occupied Kashmir and it will move beyond rhetoric to find a conflict resolution solution premised on plebiscite.
Dr. Mazari was talking to a delegation of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) led by Convenor, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, that called.
Delegation comprised of Sayyed Faiz Naqshbandi, Mehmood Ahmad Saghar, Abdul Hameed Lone, Raja Khadim Hussain and Ms Shamim Shawal. They discussed the prevailing human rights situation especially The United Nations, Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) Report on Kashmir and how best we can proceed further on conflict resolution. Matters related to the human rights violations in Indian Occupied Kashmir and protracted rights of people of Kashmir also came under discussion.
