HARIPUR: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has said if western people can become scientists then why not we .

“Colonialism is disastrous for a nation and due to it we have lost our confidence. If western people can become scientists then why we can not. We have to get rid of mindset of good slavery. We are independent people and are committed to do something. We are thinking of enacting legislation to spend the money on education after recovering it from the corrupt elements”, PM said this while addressing the inauguration ceremony of Pak-Austria Fachhochschule University In Haripur.

He stressed one should place more focus on one’s work instead of praising one’s deeds.

He held communism is disaster for the nations and this impression that only West can develop and we can not is wrong. We will have to change the mind set of slavery of West. We cannot do any thing because we copy. If the Western people can become scientists then why not our people. He pointed out ratio of population of youths in

Pakistan is higher and development is too possible. We should seek help from big data, artificial intelligence, engineering and food technology.

He urged Pakistan should tread on the way which was envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal. We have to make such Pakistan about which they used to talk to.

Citing to impacts of colonialism on the mind he said when he went out to play international cricket for the first time the senior players said to me it is our success if we lose the game to the Britons respectably.
