Apex court re­serves ver­dict on Zar­dari's plea seek­ing ac­quit­tal in three ref­er­ences

IS­LAM­ABAD: Is­lam­abad High Court (IHC) on Thurs­day re­served ver­dict on Pak­istan Peo­ples Party (PPP) co-chair­man Asif Ali Zar­dari’s plea seek­ing ac­quit­tal in mega money laun­der­ing, Park Lane and Har­ish and Com­pany ref­er­ences.

Ac­cord­ing to me­dia re­port, the de­ci­sion will be an­nounced on Septem­ber 18 (Fri­day).

Dur­ing the hear­ing headed by judge Azam Khan, Na­tional

Ac­count­abil­ity Bureau (NAB) re­quested to dis­miss Zar­dari’s ac­quit­tal pe­ti­tion and con­tinue case pro­ceed­ings against him.

Sub­se­quently, the court af­ter hear­ing the ar­gu­ments from both sides re­served the ver­dict.
