Faisal Vawda given two weeks time to file his reply in disqualification case
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has given time to federal minister Faisal Vawda to file his reply till October 14 in disqualification case.
IHC bench led by Justice Amir Farooq took up the case for hearing Thursday.
Barrister Jahangir Jadoon counsel for the petitioner told the court Faisal Vawda concealed his dual nationality while filing nomination papers. The court should deseat Faisal Vawda from his assembly seat for concealing dual nationality and filing false affidavit. Faisal Vawda has not filed reply since the last nine months despite court’s notices.
The counsel for Faisal Vawda appeared in the court. He prayed the court to give time for three weeks to file the reply.
The court inquired if any proceeding is pending hearing with election commission on this count.
Counsel for Faisal Vawda told the court disqualification case is running in election commission.
The court while giving time of two weeks to Faisal Vawda to file his reply adjourned the hearing of the case till October 14.
