Faisal Vawda given two weeks time to file his re­ply in dis­qual­i­fi­ca­tion case

IS­LAM­ABAD: Is­lam­abad High Court (IHC) has given time to fed­eral min­is­ter Faisal Vawda to file his re­ply till Oc­to­ber 14 in dis­qual­i­fi­ca­tion case.

IHC bench led by Jus­tice Amir Fa­rooq took up the case for hear­ing Thurs­day.

Bar­ris­ter Ja­hangir Jadoon coun­sel for the pe­ti­tioner told the court Faisal Vawda con­cealed his dual na­tion­al­ity while fil­ing nom­i­na­tion pa­pers. The court should de­seat Faisal Vawda from his assem­bly seat for con­ceal­ing dual na­tion­al­ity and fil­ing false af­fi­davit. Faisal Vawda has not filed re­ply since the last nine months de­spite court’s notices.

The coun­sel for Faisal Vawda ap­peared in the court. He prayed the court to give time for three weeks to file the re­ply.

The court in­quired if any pro­ceed­ing is pend­ing hear­ing with elec­tion com­mis­sion on this count.

The court while giv­ing time of two weeks to Faisal Vawda to file his re­ply ad­journed the hear­ing of the case till Oc­to­ber 14.
