IHC de­clares ap­point­ment of chair­man PTV Ar­shad Khan null and void

IS­LAM­ABAD: Is­lam­abad High Court (IHC) has de­clared ap­point­ment of chair­man PTV Ar­shid Khan as null and void.

The court has also de­clared ap­point­ment of in­de­pen­dent di­rec­tors in PTV Board of Di­rec­tors il­le­gal.

Judge Mohsin Akhtar Kayani an­nounced re­served judge­ment in the case of il­le­gal ap­point­ments in PTV Thurs­day.

The court de­clared the ap­point­ment of Chief News and Cur­rent Af­fairs Qa­t­rina Hus­sain in or­der.

The court in its de­ci­sion or­dered fed­eral gov­ern­ment should make ap­point­ments as per law. The Board of Di­rec­tors de­ci­sions will have le­gal pro­tec­tion.

The court while declar­ing the ap­point­ment of MD PTV Amir Man­zoor le­gal or­dered PTV Board of Di­rec­tors or­ders will re­main in field.

The court de­clared ap­point­ment of Qa­t­rina Hus­sain chief news cur­rent af­fairs and Khawar Azhar in or­der.

The court also or­dered not to ap­point Ar­shid Khan on any post in fu­ture.
