Govt striv­ing to sup­port agri­cul­ture sec­tor: Buz­dar

IS­LAM­ABAD: Chief Min­is­ter Pun­jab Sar­dar Us­man Buz­dar has in­au­gu­rated Rs4-bil­lion Mailsi Siphon pro­ject and re­mod­el­ing of SMB link canal dur­ing his visit to Ve­hari district.

The Chief Min­is­ter also in­au­gu­rated Daan­ish School at Tibba Sul­tan Pur and an­nounced to set up Daan­ish schools at Taunsa Sharif and Bakhar.

Speak­ing on the oc­ca­sion, he said Rs4-bil­lion pro­ject would bring about im­prove­ment in the ir­ri­ga­tion sys­tem.

Us­man Buz­dar said agri­cul­ture is the back­bone of na­tional econ­omy and gov­ern­ment is mak­ing all out ef­forts to im­prove in­fra­struc­ture sup­port­ing agri­cul­ture and to bring about pos­i­tive change in the life­style of farm­ing com­mu­nity.
