Large trade del­e­ga­tion for Switzer­land

Alarge trade del­e­ga­tion from Pak­istan would visit Switzer­land in May to ex­plore busi­ness op­por­tu­ni­ties and boost bi­lat­eral trade be­tween the two coun­tries. This was an­nounced by the Con­sul Gen­eral of Switzer­land, Di­dier Boschung, at a meet­ing with the Ko­rangi As­so­ci­a­tion of Trade and In­dus­try (KATI).

The Swiss diplo­mat in­vited KATI in­dus­tri­al­ists to join the del­e­ga­tion be­ing or­ga­nized by the Swiss Busi­ness Coun­cil (SBC) with the col­lab­o­ra­tion of the Swiss Asian Cham­ber in Zurich and the Swiss Con­sulate Gen­eral in Karachi.

Talk­ing about the bi­lat­eral be­tween the two coun­tries, he said that it had ex­panded to half a bil­lion Swiss francs in 2008 be­fore the global re­ces­sion. He high­lighted the fact that Switzer­land is the 5th largest for­eign in­vestor in Pak­istan.

Speak­ing on the oc­ca­sion, Chair­man Stand­ing Com­mit­tee on the Diplo­matic Af­fairs of KATI, Masood Naqi, in­vited Swiss in­vestors to Pak­istan, say­ing that the coun­try is a big emerg­ing mar­ket open to Swiss in­vestors to en­ter into joint ven­tures with Pak­istani stake­hold­ers
