Large trade delegation for Switzerland
Alarge trade delegation from Pakistan would visit Switzerland in May to explore business opportunities and boost bilateral trade between the two countries. This was announced by the Consul General of Switzerland, Didier Boschung, at a meeting with the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI).
The Swiss diplomat invited KATI industrialists to join the delegation being organized by the Swiss Business Council (SBC) with the collaboration of the Swiss Asian Chamber in Zurich and the Swiss Consulate General in Karachi.
Talking about the bilateral between the two countries, he said that it had expanded to half a billion Swiss francs in 2008 before the global recession. He highlighted the fact that Switzerland is the 5th largest foreign investor in Pakistan.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Standing Committee on the Diplomatic Affairs of KATI, Masood Naqi, invited Swiss investors to Pakistan, saying that the country is a big emerging market open to Swiss investors to enter into joint ventures with Pakistani stakeholders
