Malaysia-Pak­istan free trade ben­e­fits

TDAP’s ag­gres­sive mar­ket­ing of prod­ucts af­ter var­i­ous Free Trade pacts has re­sulted in an ex­cep­tional ex­port per­for­mance. Trade be­tween Pak­istan and Malaysia has touched the $2.5 bil­lion mark, reg­is­ter­ing a rise of 34 per­cent.

Malaysia and Pak­istan signed a Free Trade Agree­ment in 2007. Since then, there has been an ex­ten­sive ex­change of del­e­ga­tions to iden­tify spe­cific trade prod­ucts. The Pak­istan High Com­mis­sion is tak­ing sig­nif­i­cant mea­sures to en­hance ex­ports to Malaysia. More­over, the Pak­istanMalaysia Joint Busi­ness Coun­cil has also been launched to pro­mote in­ter­ac­tion be­tween pri­vate sec­tors of both coun­tries.

The sec­tors of agri­cul­ture, ha­lal food, higher ed­u­ca­tion and trans­port are on the pri­or­ity list of the two coun­tries
