Malaysia-Pakistan free trade benefits
TDAP’s aggressive marketing of products after various Free Trade pacts has resulted in an exceptional export performance. Trade between Pakistan and Malaysia has touched the $2.5 billion mark, registering a rise of 34 percent.
Malaysia and Pakistan signed a Free Trade Agreement in 2007. Since then, there has been an extensive exchange of delegations to identify specific trade products. The Pakistan High Commission is taking significant measures to enhance exports to Malaysia. Moreover, the PakistanMalaysia Joint Business Council has also been launched to promote interaction between private sectors of both countries.
The sectors of agriculture, halal food, higher education and transport are on the priority list of the two countries
