High Cement Export to India

Enterprise - - NEWS -

The licenses of Pakistan’s cement exporters have been renewed by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). This step invites a likely export of 100,000 tonnes of cement to India in the next few months. The exports will be delivered following an official permission.

The expected export quantity is additional to the 320,000 tonnes of cement which Pakistan exported to India in the first eight months of the fiscal year 2010-2011. But this quantity was 24 percent less than the exports in the preceding year. However, the renewal of export licenses indicates a positive sign for all Pakistan’s exports to India. The increasing supply demands of Indian market provide estimates for cement export from Pakistan to be around 500,000 to 800,000 tonnes in the next two years
