Biggest industrial slaughterhouse in Lahore
The Khorasan Razavi Municipality of Iran has announced construction of Pakistan’s biggest industrial slaughterhouse in Lahore. The cost of the project is stated to be around $21 million. The municipality representative Mohammad Hassan Razavi said that the project is a result of the tremendous potential for producing and breeding livestock in Pakistan.
The estimated area of the slaughterhouse is nine hectares with a built-up area of 16,000 square metres. The Mashhad Industrial Meat Institute of Iran, an affiliate of the municipality, holds 20 percent shares in the slaughterhouse. The project is estimated to become operational in 18 months. Iranian experts will be conducting project design, supervision, management, equipment purchase and installation of the project
