Nespak secures global projects
The National Engineering Services Pakistan (Nespak) secured 110 new engineering projects worth Rs. 546 billion through an international competition during fiscal 2010-11.
According to Nespak Managing Director Asad Khan, the new foreign projects include power projects in Saudi Arabia, roadwork and rehabilitation of water distribution networks in Oman, seven school projects and other civil engineering projects in Qatar and irrigation and drainage projects in Ethiopia.
Among the major projects signed by Nespak in Pakistan are the Iran-Pakistan Gas Pipeline Project, restoration of flood affected areas throughout Pakistan, a 747 MW combined cycle power plant at Guddu, a multipurpose dam project in Bara, extension of M-4 Motorway from Khanewal to Multan, a flyover at Kalma Chowk in Lahore and the Sheikh Zayed Medical Complex in Rahim Yar Khan
