Enterprise - - Editor’s Desk - Faizan Lakhani Islamabad

The Asia-Pacific region is strategizing itself as a hub of innovation, business acumen and a viable force in driving global growth. It has been interesting to find through Enterprise’s story on Asia Pacific Business Forum 2011, that the region is achieving its targets in best integrated manner. A platform like APBF provides conducive opportunities for pro-business negotiations and a collective outlook on the regional trade and investment challenges. The prominent participation of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Pakistan’s representatives from SAARC and Women Chambers of Commerce and Industry is indicative of the strength of Pakistan as a continuously emerging centre of trade and investment opportunities. The key factors of regional integration, economic crisis, private sector and SMEs development, and championing free trade agreements addressed at the conference indicate the clear roadmap on which the trade bodies of Pakistan are progressing in integration with the regional economic forces
