The SAARC move!

It was en­light­en­ing to know about the role of SAARC in bring­ing about re­gional in­te­gra­tion through a col­lec­tive peace process. The Busi­ness Lead­ers Con­clave in Nepal gath­ered the right mix of emerg­ing Asian pow­ers that col­lec­tively need to pave the way for­ward to build a stronger eco­nomic bloc. Peace and pros­per­ity are both in­stru­men­tal in el­e­vat­ing the life stan­dards of peo­ple in the re­gion, with­out which so­cial prob­lems lead­ing to im­mense poverty can­not be re­moved. The ac­tive par­tic­i­pa­tion of Pak­istan at the fo­rum is an en­cour­ag­ing sign. All the trade bod­ies of the coun­try, par­tic­u­larly the Trade De­vel­op­ment Au­thor­ity of Pak­istan, play a lead­ing role in pre­sent­ing the pro­gres­sive face of Pak­istan to the world. It is there­fore im­por­tant, that the po­lit­i­cal will should also com­ply with eco­nomic ef­forts to ar­rive at ef­fec­tive con­flict res­o­lu­tion Sar­mad Mohsin
