De­spite the dif­fi­culty to de­fine a cor­po­rate lounge, it is def­i­nitely bound to­gether change quickly or are not yet fully un­der­stood.

It must be no­ticed that the cul­tural and so­cial val­ues that the group of em­ploy­ees hold dear are re­in­forced in the dayto- day in­ter­ac­tion tak­ing place in the lounge. This per­pet­u­ates a par­tic­u­lar life­style and pre­serves group unity and in­tegrity. Em­ploy­ees share jokes and gripes, eat to­gether, play and work to­gether and are friends – which con­trib­utes to per­sonal es­teem, sat­is­fac­tion, and a feel­ing of worth.

The in­for­mal com­mu­ni­ca­tion chan­nel formed in a cor­po­rate lounge lets the em­ploy­ees stay in­formed about what man­age­ment ac­tions may af­fect them in var­i­ous ways and sim­i­larly the man­age­ment stays aware of the pre­vail­ing at­ti­tudes and mind­sets within the or­ga­ni­za­tion. This knowl­edge helps in the cre­ation of so­cial con­trol tools to reg­u­late be­hav­iours conforming to val­ues of the or­ga­ni­za­tion.

Thus, only of­fi­cial pro­ce­dures and creativ­ity are not enough for the growth of an or­ga­ni­za­tion, rather a bal­ance should be achieved be­tween the two, for­mal and in­for­mal, sides of the cor­po­rate brain. Af­ter all, it is all the more nec­es­sary for the em­ploy­ees to ‘ blow off’ their frus­tra­tions among em­pa­thetic col­leagues and re­turn to work with a new zeal.

Thus, along with the to­tal or­der of a work­place, which cre­ates prod­ucts, a to­tal chaos of a cor­po­rate lounge builds in­no­va­tion un­der­ly­ing the prod­ucts. Suc­cess­ful busi­nesses are not only rec­og­niz­ing the dif­fer­ence be­tween the two but also en­cour­ag­ing both to oc­cur
