Mian Abrar Ah­mad, Pres­i­dent, Karachi Cham­ber of Com­merce and In­dus­try, has em­pha­sized that the KCCI’s rec­om­men­da­tions be taken into ac­count to is­sue pri­or­ity busi­ness visas for the United King­dom. While ex­chang­ing views with United King­dom Bor­der Agency’s Mandy Ivemy, Re­gional Man­ager for Gulf, Iran and Pak­istan, the Pres­i­dent of KCCI also as­serted the pos­i­tive con­sid­er­a­tion and timely is­suance of visas to gen­uine Pak­istani stu­dents who get ad­mis­sion in UK uni­ver­si­ties for their higher stud­ies. He ap­prised the Man­ager UK Bor­der Agency about the piv­otal role of the KCCI in boost­ing the na­tional econ­omy and the Cham­ber’s vivid de­mand to bring about a par­a­digm shift in trade poli­cies while em­pha­siz­ing on re­gional trade in­stead of ex­ports to USA and EU.

Mandy Ivemy also ap­pre­ci­ated the role of KCCI in the so­cio- eco­nomic de­vel­op­ment of Pak­istan. She said that Pak­istan is the 5th largest coun­try to ap­ply for Bri­tish visas. Pak­istan was pro­vid­ing a huge source of rev­enue through Pak­istani stu­dents study­ing in the UK.
