Pak-indo optimism

The trade bodies of both India and Pakistan must be commended for their efforts towards creating a high level optimism for trade and people. The ‘Aman ki Asha’ Dividends Conference in Lahore brought huge trade incentives for both the countries. Other than the renewal of trade ties, what has been important in this initiative is the positive approach towards peace and stability from the people and governments of India and Pakistan. Pakistani industry has received fresh breathe, as the production scale has been raised and there would be more capital generated from the Indian market. In the presence of all significant decisionmakers of the industry, the conference fulfilled the important need of removing the misperceptions regarding opening of full-fledged trade with India. It is a great opportunity for both the countries to learn from each other’s market strengths and contribute to the growth of South Asia.
