Strategizing with UK

The significance of the ‘Enhanced Strategic Dialogue’ between Pakistan and UK, as highlighted by Enterprise in the May/June issue, greatly defines the dynamics of global trade and politics. The set of areas including macro and microeconomics and governance, shows the right direction of the dialogue between East and West. Pakistan is one of the key emerging economies in Asia for US and EU. In this scenario, it is very important for UK to establish ties with Pakistan on basis of sovereignty, mutual trust and mutual respect. If any of these parameters are compromised, it would be a difficult task to sustain healthy trade and political relations. On the other hand, Pakistan should fully utilize the UK’s strengths in the fields of trade, security and education through the enhanced strategic partnerships.
