In a meeting with Essa Abdulla Al Basha AlNoaimi, UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, Tariq Puri, Chief Executive, TDAP assured full support to the UAE for promoting bilateral trade between the two countries.

The Ambassador briefed Puri about the UAE bid for World Exposition 2020 where the UAE is promoting Dubai as the host city. Puri emphasized upon the Ambassador that in order to bid for Dubai, UAE government has to conduct extensive road shows worldwide to seek the maximum votes of members of the Bureau of International Exhibitions ( BIE). He appreciated the infrastructure which the UAE has built over the years and Dubai is fully geared to hosting such an important event.

The Ambassador said that if the UAE wins the bid then it will be first city in the Middle East and South Asia to have this honour.

This positive outcome of the Annual Investment Meeting held in Dubai in May was also discussed. The UAE Ambassador thanked the TDAP for putting up an impressive pavilion. Puri highlighted the strong brotherly relations which the two countries enjoy in all areas. He hoped that Pakistan and UAE’s economic relationship will further deepen in future.
