Nes­tle’s lead­er­ship change

Nes­tle Pak­istan un­der­went a change in its top man­age­ment and Magdi Batato has be­come the new manag­ing di­rec­tor of the or­ga­ni­za­tion.

Batato re­placed Ian James Don­ald, who would be serv­ing as manag­ing di­rec­tor of Nes­tle Equa­to­rial African Re­gion (EAR).

Batato was the group tech­ni­cal and pro­duc­tion di­rec­tor for Nes­tle UK and Ire­land. He joined the Nes­tle group in 1991 in Switzer­land and has pur­sued a suc­cess­ful fac­tory and tech­ni­cal man­age­ment ca­reer in Switzer­land, Ger­many, Le­banon, South Africa, Malaysia, the UK and Ire­land.

Don­ald had been manag­ing di­rec­tor of Nes­tle Pak­istan since Septem­ber 1, 2009. He was de­puted from Nes­tle Malaysia Ber­had, where he served as di­rec­tor of ice cream, chilled prod­ucts and as­so­ci­ated busi­nesses.

Un­der his lead­er­ship, Nes­tle Pak­istan suc­ceeded in de­liv­er­ing strong fi­nan­cial re­sults de­spite floods for two con­sec­u­tive years, which hit the livestock sec­tor and af­fected pro­duc­tion chan­nels of the com­pany.
