Successful Pakistani mangoes exhibition in The Hague
An exhibition of Pakistani mangoes was organised by the Commercial Wing of the Embassy of Pakistan in The Hague with the support of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan on June 23, 2014.
Various varieties of Pakistani mangoes like Sindhri, Chaunsa, Beghan Phali and Sunhera were exhibited at the exhibition. Arrangements were also made for the tasting of mango cubes, shakes, ice cream, lassi, etc. There were six stalls at the exhibition. The Multinational Fruit Company had also established its stall there.
Visitors included ambassadors of Japan, Senegal. Turkey, India, Spain, UAE, commercial attaches of various countries, representatives of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Dutch development organizations like CBI and PU. Persons from large multinational companies in the fruit sector like special fruits, total exotics, AZ importers. etc. also visited the stalls. Trade visitors and importers also participated in the exhibition and held B2B meetings.
For media coverage, representative from the APP and Diplomatic Magazine were invited. The exhibition proved to be very successful in promoting Pakistani mangoes. The Netherlands is the second largest importer and exporter of mangoes and is the trade gateway to Europe. Mango promotion activities have proved very productive in increasing the volume of Pakistani mango exports to the Netherlands in particular and Europe in general.
