Lyari Expressway

Enterprise - - Letter - Syed Sohail Javaad, Karachi

I commend the authorities concerned on their decision to allow north-bound traffic on Lyari Expressway.

This has helped commuters who used to suffer severe traffic jams on main arteries like M.A Jinnah Road and University Road. I would like to request the authorities concerned to continue this practice even after Ramazan, especially from 5pm till 8pm, till the time this project is completed.

I, like my fellow citizens, am wondering why this extremely important and useful project is not being completed. Who are the elements responsible for leaving the project incomplete?

If the federal government can spend billions of rupees on fancy projects, why can’t it ensure the completion of this important expressway? I would also request the media to follow up on the development of this project to compel the government and the NHA to complete it.
