Multan: Nom­i­na­tion pa­pers for 13 PA, 7 NA seats filed

MULTAN— Po­lit­i­cal par­ties can­di­dates and in­de­pen­dent can­di­dates submitted their nom­i­na­tion pa­pers for 13 Pro­vin­cial As­sem­bly seats and 7 Na­tional As­sem­bly seats elec­tions to re­turn­ing of­fi­cers on Fri­day and Satur­day re­spec­tively. Sheikh Tariq Rasheed (PML–N), Ma­lik Mukhtar Awan (PPP), Muham­mad Sadeeq An­sari (In­de­pen­dent) filed doc­u­ments for NA–149, Makhdoom Shah Mah­mood Qureshi(Se­nior Vice Pres­i­dent PTI) for NA–150, Chaudary Al­lah Ditta, Sayed Noor Ul Din and Ma­lik Khadim Hans for NA–148, Haji Sikan­dar Hayat Bosan (PNL–N), Cathriene Nazeer, Ma­lik Sha­keel Ah­mad for NA–151.

Mean­while, Rabia Wahid Bhutta, Ma­lik An­war Ali (PML–N), Ma­lik Faiz Ra­sool Ra­jwana (in­de­pen­dent) for PP–194, Ma­lik Wa­heed Ah­mad Bhutta, Ab­dul Ma­jid, Muham­mad Saleem Shah Bukhari, Jawad Ah­mad Chaudary, Saeeda Ja­mal Labar, Muza­mal Hus­sain, Muham­mad Sadeeq An­sari for PP-197, Ch. Khalid Javed War­raich (PTI), Riaz Ah­mad Nizami, Muham­mad Za­heer Ilyas, Im­ran Rasheed Su­lahri, for PP–196, Makhdoom Ab­bas Ak­bar Moni Shah (PML– N), Sayed Nazim Hus­sain Shah (PPP) for PP– 199.

***** The elec­tric­ity load shed­ding con­tin­ued to dis­rupt rou­tine life in the city on Satur­day. The feed­ers in ur­ban lim­its of Multan city are con­duct­ing an eight-hour shut­down and stretch be­yond 14 hours in ru­ral lim­its of MEPCO (Multan Elec­tric Power Com­pany). Sources said that the na­tional grid was fac­ing se­vere short­age be­tween de­mand and sup­ply due to shut­down of ma­jor power plants over fuel short­age.

***** A per­son Mukhtar Ah­mad Jhun­bal was as­sas­si­nated by his wife’s brothers and fa­ther in Ta­jpur San­deela (Ju­ris­dic­tion of Po­lice Sta­tion Sadar, Multan) area on March 27, 2013 (Wed­nes­day). Mukhtar’s rel­a­tives told to Pak­istan Observer that Mukhtar was killed due to some fam­ily is­sues. An FIR has been reg­is­tered un­der sec­tions 302, 324 against Mis­eri and his sons Hayyat, Shoukat and Akram at Po­lice Sta­tion Sadar. Po­lice said Akram had a crim­i­nal record. No ar­rest in this re­gard had been made yet.

***** Former City Nazim, Multan District, Mian Faisal Mukhtar on Satur­day said that he will not have take part in the up­com­ing gen­eral elec­tions. Talk­ing to the me­dia per­sons at his res­i­dence that due to some rea­sons he will not take part in the elec­tions.
