Multan: Nomination papers for 13 PA, 7 NA seats filed
MULTAN— Political parties candidates and independent candidates submitted their nomination papers for 13 Provincial Assembly seats and 7 National Assembly seats elections to returning officers on Friday and Saturday respectively. Sheikh Tariq Rasheed (PML–N), Malik Mukhtar Awan (PPP), Muhammad Sadeeq Ansari (Independent) filed documents for NA–149, Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi(Senior Vice President PTI) for NA–150, Chaudary Allah Ditta, Sayed Noor Ul Din and Malik Khadim Hans for NA–148, Haji Sikandar Hayat Bosan (PNL–N), Cathriene Nazeer, Malik Shakeel Ahmad for NA–151.
Meanwhile, Rabia Wahid Bhutta, Malik Anwar Ali (PML–N), Malik Faiz Rasool Rajwana (independent) for PP–194, Malik Waheed Ahmad Bhutta, Abdul Majid, Muhammad Saleem Shah Bukhari, Jawad Ahmad Chaudary, Saeeda Jamal Labar, Muzamal Hussain, Muhammad Sadeeq Ansari for PP-197, Ch. Khalid Javed Warraich (PTI), Riaz Ahmad Nizami, Muhammad Zaheer Ilyas, Imran Rasheed Sulahri, for PP–196, Makhdoom Abbas Akbar Moni Shah (PML– N), Sayed Nazim Hussain Shah (PPP) for PP– 199.
***** The electricity load shedding continued to disrupt routine life in the city on Saturday. The feeders in urban limits of Multan city are conducting an eight-hour shutdown and stretch beyond 14 hours in rural limits of MEPCO (Multan Electric Power Company). Sources said that the national grid was facing severe shortage between demand and supply due to shutdown of major power plants over fuel shortage.
***** A person Mukhtar Ahmad Jhunbal was assassinated by his wife’s brothers and father in Tajpur Sandeela (Jurisdiction of Police Station Sadar, Multan) area on March 27, 2013 (Wednesday). Mukhtar’s relatives told to Pakistan Observer that Mukhtar was killed due to some family issues. An FIR has been registered under sections 302, 324 against Miseri and his sons Hayyat, Shoukat and Akram at Police Station Sadar. Police said Akram had a criminal record. No arrest in this regard had been made yet.
***** Former City Nazim, Multan District, Mian Faisal Mukhtar on Saturday said that he will not have take part in the upcoming general elections. Talking to the media persons at his residence that due to some reasons he will not take part in the elections.
