Free eye camp

HY­DER­ABAD— The Deputy Com­mis­sioner Hy­der­abad Agha Shah­nawaz Babar has called upon the phi­lan­thropists and well to do peo­ple to come for­ward and gen­er­ously do­nate to char­ity or­ga­ni­za­tion so that poor and needy per­sons could get max­i­mum ben­e­fits from wel­fare projects.

He made the ap­peal while ad­dress­ing a cer­e­mony in con­nec­tion with three- day long an­nual free eye camp of AlUmeed Lions Club here at Anti-Tu­ber­cu­lo­sis House Lat­i­fabad Unit-6 on Satur­day.

The Chair­man AlUmeed Lions Club Shakir Me­mon briefed the Deputy Com­mis­sioner about the wel­fare projects be­ing car­ried out by is or­ga­ni­za­tion. He fur­ther in­formed that out of 817 pa­tients who were ex­am­ined in the camp, the surgery of 210 pa­tients was car­ried out by em­i­nent sur­geons.—APP
