KP PML-N, JI strike NA seats bargain
PESHAWAR— Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) decided to share candidate’s priority list to finalize seat adjustment for general elections 2013 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The decision has been taken during a meeting of JI Provincial Ameer Prof. Muhammad Ibrahim Khan and PMLN Central General Secretary Iqbal Zafar Jagra here on Saturday.
The meeting besides other was attended by JI Provincial General Secretary Shabir Ahmad Khan, Provincial Naib Ameer Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, PMLN Peshawar President Abdus Sattar Khalil and Col. Rtd. Sher Afgan Khan. The meeting decided that instead of reviewing all national and provincial seats among negotiation teams of both the parties, sharing of candidate’s priority list for seat adjustment in the province would get fruitful results as there was short time left for the polls.
However, negotiation teams of both the parties would announce final seat adjustment in province after scrutiny.
Meawhile, it is reported from Chinoit a businessman turned politician twice elected as independent MNA from Chinoit, Qaiser Ahmad Shaikh, joined the Pakistan Muslin League Nawaz. He made this an- nouncement among the business community hailing from Chinoit at a dinner hosted in honour of former chief minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.
Apart from Shahbaz Sharif, Chairman Pak-Indo CCI,SM Munir, President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Zahid Aslam, former presidents LCCI, Anjum Nisar, Irfan Qaisar, former President KCCI Anjum Nisar, former Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Mashood, former MPAs Maulana Ilyas Chinoiti, Maulana Rehmat Ullah and several businessmen from Shaikh clan from Chinoit were also present on the occasion.
PESHAWAR: PPP-P leader from Bannu Saeeda Yasmeen submiting her nomination papers for women reserved seats to returning officer for forthcoming general elections on 11th May 2013.
