42 can­di­dates sub­mit pa­pers in Ta­la­gang Tehsil

TA­LA­GANG— Forty-two can­di­dates have submitted their nom­i­na­tion pa­pers for elec­tions in Ta­la­gang for NA-61, PP-22 and PP-23. The process of fil­ing nom­i­na­tion pa­pers would end to­day. Ch Per­vaiz El­lahi, Sar­dar Mum­taz Tam­man, Sar­dar Man­soor Hayat, Ma­lik Za­hoor An­war Awan, Col (r) Sul­tan Surkhro, Ma­lik Muhamamd Ayub, Ch. Amir along with dozens other con­tenders have filed their nom­i­na­tion pa­pers in Re­turn­ing Of­fi­cer’s Of­fice Ta­la­gang so far.

The PML-N, PML-Q and JI have al­ready an­nounced their can­di­dates for Tehsil Ta­la­gang but PTI’s vot­ers are still wait­ing for the name of ticket hold­ers from those con­stituen­cies. In­de­pen­dent group of Sar­dar Ghu­lam Ab­bas, former District Nazim has an­nounced to sup­port PML-Q in all con­stituen­cies of the area and it can play a vi­tal role in coming elec­tions. The NA-61, PP-23 and PP-22 has more than 0.4 mil­lion votes. Ac­cord­ing to de­tails the to­tal num­ber of votes for th­ese three con­stituency are 4,38,624. The to­tal num­ber of polling sta­tions for those con­stituen­cies will be 370 while 1053 polling booths will be there to fa­cil­i­tate peo­ple to cast their votes. NA-61 con­sists of 33 union coun­cils in to­tal, 23 UCs from Tehsil Ta­la­gang, 8 from Tehsil Chak­wal and 2 from Tehsil Kalar Ka­har, while PP22 and PP-23 con­sists of 16 and 17 UCs re­spec­tively.
