67 gangsters with looted valuables arrested: CPO
District police claimed to have busted 25 dacoit gangs and arrested their 67 members besides recovering looted valuables from them by tracing 256 cases during last two months.
This was disclosed by City Police Officer (CPO) Multan, Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry in a press conference held at Conference Hall Police Line here on Monday.
The CPO claimed that police have busted 25 dacoit gangs including Ghulam Rasool alias Chotto gang, Kashif gang, Furqan gang, Sohail alias Sahela gang, Iqbal alias Bala Tragar gang, Bilal gang, Zafar alias Bacho gang, Mazhar alias Mazhri raan gang, Shehzad alias Pheena gang, Arshad alias Achi gang, Iftekhar alias Ustad gang and others. Police have also arrested their 67 members and traced 256 cases by investigating them, he added.
He claimed that police recovered looted valuables including 11 cars, two trucks, 15 motorcycles, six-tola gold ornaments, one laptop, two mobile phones and Rs 140,500 in cash, total worth Rs 20.93 millions.—APP
