Over Rs166b released under PSDP
The government has so far released over one hundred and sixty-six billion rupees under its Public Sector Development Programme for various projects against the total allocations of four hundred and forty billion rupees for the current financial year.
Out of these allocations‚ over thirty-three billion rupees have been released for various projects of Pakistan Energy Commission. Similarly‚ over twenty billion rupees have been released to National Highway Authority for its projects.
Funds for different projects of National Health Service Regulations and Coordination Division‚ Pakistan Railways‚ National Food Security and Research Division‚ Ministry of Petroleum and National Resources‚ Higher Education Commission‚ WAPDA‚ SUPARCO and other departments were also released.
Over five billion rupees have so far been released for AJK‚ four point four seven one billion rupees for Gilgit Baltistan and over nine billion rupees for FATA and States and Frontier Regions.
The Planning Commission has been following a proper mechanism for the release of funds.—NNI
