Call for restoration of gas pressure in Quetta
People of Sariab area including women and children blocked the National Highway against low pressure of gas in the respective areas of Sariab on Monday.
Protesters also burnt tires on the road and chanted slogans against the administration and Sui Southern Gas’s staff. Vehicles including trucks, passenger buses and other vehicles were stuck on the road during demonstration. Patients and passengers faced hardship in protesting.
One of the protesters Muhammad Qasim said that people are suffering difficulties in the very cold weather which had been recorded - 13C temperature in the pro- vincial capital.
Muhammad Arif added that people including children and elder persons are becoming ailing and ill due to low gas pressure.
One of female noted that they have been facing difficulties for three months due to very low gas pressure, adding that citizens had complained about the low pressure of gas with the SSGC again and again but gas authorities did not take steps to restore for pressure of gas.
