Brother re­moves Shah Mehmood from ‘Gaddi’

Vice Chair­man Pak­istan Tehreek-i-In­saf Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s younger brother Mureed Hus­sain Qureshi has re­moved Shah Mehmood Qureshi from the ‘Gaddi’ of their fa­ther. “It was me who made him the cus­to­dian of Shah Rukn-e-Alam’s mau­soleum and it is me again who is re­mov­ing him now”, said Mureed Hus­sain.

Ad­dress­ing a press con­fer­ence here on Satur­day, Mureed Hus­sain said that he was the one closer to his fa­ther Makhdoom Sajjad Hus­sain Qureshi and watched over the mat­ters re­lated to the shrine while Shah Mehmood was more in­ter­ested in pol­i­tics. “How­ever, when for­mer Gov­er­nor Pun­jab Makhdoom Sajjad Qureshi died 17 years ago, I made Shah Mehmood the cus­to­dian of the shrine of Bahauddin Zakaria and Shah Shams’s shrine. I ad­mit my mis­take”, said Mureed Hus­sain.

“I have re­moved Shah Mehmood Qureshi from the ‘Gaddi’ and if he wants to move to any court or Shariah Court, he is al­lowed to do so. I will present the proofs be­fore the court”, an­nounced Mureed Hus­sain.
