First of its type women po­lice helpline set up

The po­lice depart­ment has es­tab­lished a Women Po­lice Help Line 1213 for the safety and pro­tec­tion of fe­males in case of any emer­gency or ha­rass­ment.

Mo­htarma Parveen Sar­war, spouse of Gov­er­nor Pun­jab Chaudhry Mu- ham­mad Sar­war for­mally in­au­gu­rated the Women Po­lice Help Line at Kot­wali po­lice sta­tion here on Satur­day.

Speak­ing on the oc­ca­sion, Mo­htarma Parveen Sar­war ap­pre­ci­ated the ef-forts of the Faisalabad Po­lice for in­tro­duc­ing first of its kind Women Po­lice Help Line and said that it would help in cre­at­ing a sense of se­cu­rity.

She said that Women Po­lice Help Line would also save women from high-hand­ed­ness of the of­fend­ers by pro­vid­ing quick re­sponse.

She said that fe­males were more than 50 per­cent of our to­tal pop­u­la­tion, there­fore, it was need of the hour to pro­vide them pro­tec­tion and se­cu­rity at all fo­rums.

The Women Po­lice Help Line would help in con­trol­ling the trend of ex-cesses with fe­males, she hoped.
