20 Bajaur girls arrive in Peshawar on way to home
Twenty out of 35 minor girl stu- dents of Bajaur Agency, students of religious educational institu-tions recovered from a house, arrived here on Saturday morning on way to their native places.
They were extended special reception on behalf of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mahtab Ahmad Khan. They were received by Additional Chief Secretary ( ACS), FATA, Muhammad Azam at the Peshawar Airport.
On behalf of the Governor, the ACS also presented traditional gifts, including shawls, toys, school bags and some edibles to the students. The Director Health, FATA, who was also present on this occasion along with a team of medical staff.
Fiaz Sherpao, Assistant Political Agent, Bajaur Agency, who had travelled to Karachi to take care of the minor students under the directive of Governor, accompanied them besides parents of nine students.
It was told on this occasion that the remaining 15 girl students had already been handed over to their parents in Karachi. It was further informed that as per directive of the Governor, the FATA Secretariat borne the entire expenditures of the travelling of girls.—APP
