Con­struc­tion of Sagheer Park 120-bed hos­pi­tal starts soon

Com­mis­sioner Gu­jran­wala Di­vi­sion Shu­mail Ahmad Khawaja said that con­struc­tion work of 120 bed hos­pi­tal at Sagheer Park Gu-jran­wala will start soon. This triple story hos­pi­tal will be com­pleted with a cost of Rs. 935 mil­lions. Rs. 514 mil­lions shall be spent on build­ing while 421 mil­lions for pur­chase of ma­chin­ery and other equip-ments.

He dis­closed this while pre­sid­ing over a meet­ing to re­view the progress of this project. Min­is­ter of state Us­man Ibrahim, DCO Az­mat Meh- mood, Chief Ar­chi­tect Pun­jab Raja Shahid, SE build­ings Sa­jid Amin, Di­rec­tor Health Dr. Pervez Nazir Tar­rar, MPA Nawaz Cho­han, Di­rec­tor De­vel- op­ment Saima Gha­fur, Di­rec­tor Ar­chi­tect, EDO health Dr. Saeed ul­lah and SDO build­ing Tariq Mehmood were also present in the meet­ing.

Com­mis­sioner said that ac­cord­ing to lay­out plan ground floor will be con­sists upon emer­gency, opd, pathol- ogy, blood bank, stores and park­ing while first floor will be fa­cil­i­tated with Gyne, Ra­di­ol­ogy, pathol­ogy, ad­min­is­tra­tion, pe­di­atric and blood bank. In sec­ond floor wards, Op­er­a­tion theater, crush hall will be availed and third floor will be met with wards, stores and other nec­es­sary re­quire­ments he added.

Com­mis­sioner di­rected the con­cerned offi- cers to take per­sonal in­ter­est in this project, he con-sti­tuted a com­mit­tee con­sisted upon rep­re­sen­ta­tives of DCO, SE build- ing and ar­chi­tect de­part­ments and di­rected that after hav­ing a vig­i­lant eye and survey at the spot a com­pre­hen­sive re­port should be sub­mit to him.

Min­is­ter of state Us­man Ibrahim said that this project will be con­structed at all cost, mil­lions of peo­ple in and around the city would be fa­cil­i­tated with med­i­cal treat­ment through this hos­pi­tal. Con-struc­tion of ap­proach road, re­mov­ing of encroachment and other mat­ters were also dis­cussed in the meet­ing.
