Com­mis­sioner for sort­ing out land ac­qui­si­tion is­sue

Com­mis­sioner Mir- purkhas, Sajjid Ja­mal Abro, di­rected that land ac­qui-sition is­sue should be sorted out on pri­or­ity ba­sis to en­sure timely com­ple­tion of projects of na­tional im­por­tance while wheat dis­tri­bu­tion among drought-hit pop­u­la­tion of de-sert ar­eas be fur­ther expe-dited.

Chair­ing a meet­ing here, he also di­rected to es­tab­lish dis­trict com­plaint cells, hav­ing ad­di­tional deputy com­mis­sioner as fo­cal per­son, for res­o­lu­tion of pub­lic prob­lems and griev­ances at each deputy com­mis­sioner of­fice.

Rev­enue record of the di­vi­sion was be­ing com­put­erised, he said and di­rected the con­cerned offi- cials that mea­sures should be taken for early dis­posal of pend­ing cases at Om­buds-man’s Sec­re­tariat while dep-uty com­mis­sion­ers should be made fo­cal per­son in this re-gard.

The Com­mis­sioner di­rected to carry out survey for pro­vi­sion of agri­cul­tural land to land­less farm­ers, tak­ing mea­sures to re­move il­le­gal pos­ses­sions from grazing ar­eas, to en­list all IDPs who had taken abode in the di­vi­sion and sub­mis­sion of thor­ough re­port on record of arms li­cences to the con­cerned min­istry.—APP
