IGP pays trib­ute to ser­vices of So­ran Singh

PESHAWAR —The In­spec­tor Gen­eral of Po­lice, Nasir Khan Dur­rani Tues­day vis­ited Dis­trict Buner and paid trib­ute to the ser­vices ren­dered by Sar­dar So­ran Singh for cre­at­ing re­li­gious har­mony in the so­ci­ety and his ef­forts for en­sur­ing peace­ful co-ex­is­tence of fol­low­ers of var­i­ous re­li­gious de­nom­i­na­tions.

Dur­ing the visit Regional Po­lice Of­fi­cer Malakand DIG Azad Khan, Dis­trict Po­lice Of­fi­cer Buner Syed Khalid Mehmood Ham­dani and Deputy Com­mis­sioner Buner Sikander Zee­shan also ac-com­panied him. The IGP Nasir Khan Dur­rani vis­ited the crime scene of tar­get killing of Spe­cial As­sis­tant to Chief Min­is­ter Sar­dar So­ran Singh who was shot dead last week.

The IGP lauded the fact that Sar­dar So­ran Singh was a true Pak­istani who had been ad­vo­cate of na­tion­al­ism and ded­i­cated his life for re­solv­ing the is­sues and for up­lift of peo­ple of Buner ir­re­spec­tive of their caste, creed, gen­der and re­li­gion. The IGP directed RPO and DPO to pro­vide fool proof se­cu­rity to the fam­ily and son of Sar­dar So­ran Singh.
