Hot, dry weather to pre­vail

IS­LAM­ABAD—Mainly hot and dry weather is ex­pected over most parts of the coun­try light rain-thun­der­storm likely at iso­lated places of Malakand, Hazara di­vi­sions, Kash­mir and Gil­git-Baltistan in next 24 hours.

Dus­trais­ing winds are also ex­pected in South Pun­jab, Mir­purkhas and Hy­der­abad di­vi­sions whereas very hot weather fore­cast in plain ar­eas of Pun­jab, KP, Sindh Mir­purkhas, Larkana, Sukkur and Sh.Be­nazir­bad and Sibbi di­vi­sion dur­ing this time span, an of­fi­cial of Met of­fice told APP.

Low pres­sure area lies over north Balochis­tan and its ad­join­ing ar­eas. Shal­low trough of west­erly wave is present over up­per KP and its ad­join­ing ar­eas and likely to per­sist dur­ing next 24 to 36 hours. The max­i­mum tem­per­a­ture of Karachi will re­main in the range of 35 to 37 øC and no heat wave threat for next seven days.

In last 24 hours weather re­mained hot and dry in most parts of the coun­try. How­ever light rain oc­curred in Malakand di­vi­sion.
