Pakistan Observer - - NATIONAL - SHAFFAAT MALIK

TALAGANG—Govt and private schools continue to be negligent towards fire safety arrangements in Talagang area. In many government and private schools fire extinguishers, even buckets full of sand and water have not been arranged.

In most government schools, there is no equipment for fire safety and wherever present, it is inadequate for the purpose as there is one fire extinguishing for the whole school. Only few private schools have proper fire safety equipment. Social circles have appealed authorities to make sure that all schools have sufficient fire safety equipment to cope with emergences.

While on the other hand, the agencies engaged in the business of illegal gas cylinder filling and diesel patrol filling, are operating in almost all key places in entire Tehsil Talagang. Several bloody incidents have occurred in these areas but no action has been taken towards closure of these businesses.
