Gen Raheel, Jordan King discuss regional security
AMMAN–Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif Tuesday called on Jordan’s King Abdullah, Samaa reported.
According to Director General (DG) of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) LtGen Asim Bajwa, the meeting discussed matters of mutual interests, enhanced defence and security collaboration, and regional security.
King Abdullah appreciated Pakistan Army’s achievements in fight against terrorism, efforts to promote regional peace and stability, he said.
Earlier, Chief of Army Staff, General Raheel Sharif witnessed field exercise of Jordanian Special Operations Forces at King Abdullah Special Operations training center, ISPR reported.
General Raheel Sharif appreciated state of the art training facility and exchanged views with exercise participants.
The army chief vowed to share and benefit from each other’s experience in counter terrorism operations. —INP
