Jammu, Kash­mir, Ladakh, Gil­git, AK sin­gle en­tity

SRI­NA­GAR—Demo­cratic Free­dom Party (DFP) chair­man, Shabir Ah­mad Shah on Tues­day said that “Jammu, Kash­mir, Ladakh, Gil­git, and Azad Kash­mir are a sin­gle en­tity” and that di­vi­sion of Jammu and Kash­mir “will never be al­lowed”. Shah also ex­pressed “sat­is­fac­tion” over the statement of Pak­istani po­lit­i­cal lead­er­ship re­gard­ing Kash­mir while urg­ing it to “in­crease its en­deav­ours to­wards win­ning the con­fi­dence of Euro­pean Union, OIC, and world na­tions vis-a-vis Kash­mir”. Hail­ing Pakistan for its “po­lit­i­cal, moral, and diplo­matic sup­port”, Shah ex­pressed hope that the coun­try con­tin­ues such ef­forts till “Kash­mir is­sue reaches its log­i­cal con­clu­sion”. “Pakistan must seek the as­sis­tance of Euro­pean Union, OIC, and other world pow­ers in pres­suris­ing In­dia to stop the grave hu­man rights vi­o­la­tions tak­ing place in this oc­cu­pied state and re­solve the long­stand­ing Kash­mir dis­pute,” he said. Con­demn­ing the re­cent civil­ian killings in north Kash­mir, DFP chair­man said that “to kill Kash­miri youth has be­come a pas­time for In­dian oc­cu­pa­tional forces”.—KR
