Air Chief ex­changes views on fur­ther­ing ties with Saudi de­fence lead­er­ship

ISLAMABAD—Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Mar­shal So­hail Aman on Wed­nes­day called on Prince Muham­mad bin Sal­man bin Ab­dul Aziz AlSaud Deputy Crown Prince and Min­is­ter of De­fence of King­dom of Saudi Ara­bia. The Air Chief con­veyed the best wishes and greet­ings from the gov­ern­ment and peo­ple of Pak­istan, a PAF news re­lease here stated.

He also ap­pre­ci­ated Saudi Ara­bia’s role in pro-mot­ing peace and sta­bil­ity in the re­gion and thanked the Saudi gov­ern­ment for an un­wa­ver­ing sup­port to Pak­istan. Muham­mad bin Sal­man ex­pressed his sat­is­fac­tion on the level of brotherly re­la­tions and bi­lat­eral co­op­er­a­tion be­tween both the coun­tries. He lauded PAF’s lead­ing role in on­go­ing op­er­a­tion Zarb-e-Azb against the ex­trem­ist el­e­ment and re­it­er­ated his re­solve to stand by Pak­istan at ev­ery mo­ment.

The Air Chief separately called on Gen­eral Abd-ulRehman bin Saleh Al-Bun­yan, Chief of Gen­eral Staff, King­dom of Saudi Ara­bia. Both the dig­ni­taries re­mained to­gether for some time and dis­cussed var­i­ous mat­ters of pro­fes­sional and mu­tual in­ter­ests.

The Air Chief ap­prised Gen­eral Abd-ulRehman about PAF’s lead­ing role in on­go­ing op­er­a­tion Zarb-e-Azb. The Air Chief of­fered all train­ing fa­cil­i­ties to the Saudi cadets and air­men to en­hance their capa-bil­i­ties and as­sured the ex­cel­lent re­la­tion­ship be­tween two air forces will im­prove. The Saudi Chief of Gen­eral Staff thanked the Air Chief for his visit and ex­pressed Saudi Ara­bia’s keen­ness to boost col­lab­o­ra­tion with Pak­istan in the field of de­fence.—APP
