The members of the CII said that there is a room of improvement in the existing Islamic Banking.
It also expressed reservations over the current paper currency system.
CII Chairman Maulana Sherani while chairing the conference on Tuesday had said that the economy, in the past, was based on silver and gold coins.
“We must bring back the circulation of gold and silver,” he said.
The current system of economy based on paper currency is not durable because there is nothing concrete in paper currency, he pointed out.
The CII chief further said that Islamic style of economy was necessary to revive Islamic principles.
