Corps Com­man­der ap­pre­ci­ates APS qual­ity ed­u­ca­tion role

PE­SHAWAR—A simple and im­pres­sive cer­e­mony for dis­tri­bu­tion of APS An­nual Award was held in the Iqra Au­di­to­rium of APS Warsak Road Pe­shawar. Corps Com­man­der Lieu­tenant Gen­eral Hi­dayat-ur-Rah­man was chief guest on the oc­ca­sion. Ad­dress­ing teach­ers and stu­dents, Corps Com­man­der ap­pre­ci­ated the role and con­tri­bu­tion of Army Public Schools and Col­leges which are im­part­ing qual­ity ed­u­ca­tion across all gar­risons of Pak­istan.

He re­it­er­ated that ed­u­ca­tion must be in con­form­ity with mod­ern era of sci­ence and tech­nol­ogy. Our chil­dren are the as­set of this na­tion and we will in­vest in mod­ern ed­u­ca­tion to trans­form our chil­dren into re­spon­si­ble cit­i­zens of Pak­istan. At the end, Corps Com­man­der dis­trib­uted cer­tifi­cates and tro­phies among teach­ers and staff. APS Mar­dan clinched top four po­si­tions in Preschool Award, Best Ju­nior School of the Year Award, Best Mid­dle School of the Year Award and Best Se­nior School for year 2013-14 thus re­ceived the tro­phy of “Best School of the Year”.

Be­sides that, Lt Col (Retd) Naeem Ahmed prin­ci­pal APS Mar­dan re­ceived Prin­ci­pal ofthe Year award. Best Se­nior School 2014-15 Award and most Im-proved School of the Year Award were given to APS Col­lege for Girls, Pe­shawar. Prin­ci­pal most Im­proved School of the Year Award was re­ceived by Mrs Fouzia Sar­wat Ali. In her well come note, Re­gional Co­or­di­na­tor Mrs Jawaria high­lighted the per­for­mance of APS, chal­lenges and op­por­tu­ni­ties.
