Corps Commander appreciates APS quality education role
PESHAWAR—A simple and impressive ceremony for distribution of APS Annual Award was held in the Iqra Auditorium of APS Warsak Road Peshawar. Corps Commander Lieutenant General Hidayat-ur-Rahman was chief guest on the occasion. Addressing teachers and students, Corps Commander appreciated the role and contribution of Army Public Schools and Colleges which are imparting quality education across all garrisons of Pakistan.
He reiterated that education must be in conformity with modern era of science and technology. Our children are the asset of this nation and we will invest in modern education to transform our children into responsible citizens of Pakistan. At the end, Corps Commander distributed certificates and trophies among teachers and staff. APS Mardan clinched top four positions in Preschool Award, Best Junior School of the Year Award, Best Middle School of the Year Award and Best Senior School for year 2013-14 thus received the trophy of “Best School of the Year”.
Besides that, Lt Col (Retd) Naeem Ahmed principal APS Mardan received Principal ofthe Year award. Best Senior School 2014-15 Award and most Im-proved School of the Year Award were given to APS College for Girls, Peshawar. Principal most Improved School of the Year Award was received by Mrs Fouzia Sarwat Ali. In her well come note, Regional Coordinator Mrs Jawaria highlighted the performance of APS, challenges and opportunities.
