Rangers’ passing out parade held
MANDI BAHAUDDIN—Passing out parade of 1406 newly trained recruits Rangers was held here Thursday morning at Pakistan Rangers Academy. 10 Corps Commander Lt Gen Malak Zafar Iqbal was the chief guest. On his arrival, smartly turned out contingents of the recruits presented him the guard of honour. Lauding high standard of training he said Rangers were defending eastern border of the country vigilantly.
Besides, the rangers were deployed on security duties and fighting terrorists across the country to maintain peace. He said extremists and terrorists being in minority were posing a great challenge to our political and social system. He said ongoing ZarbeAzab operation had eliminated safe heavens of terrorists and they were on the run now. He said security agencies with the support of army and rangers had already broken their backbone.
Their remaining elements would also be wreaked in due course of time. He said work on PCEC project was in progress and army assisted by rangers would complete it within scheduled time. Once completed, the PCEC will boost national economy.
