Rangers’ pass­ing out pa­rade held

MANDI BAHAUDDIN—Pass­ing out pa­rade of 1406 newly trained re­cruits Rangers was held here Thurs­day morn­ing at Pak­istan Rangers Acad­emy. 10 Corps Com­man­der Lt Gen Malak Za­far Iqbal was the chief guest. On his ar­rival, smartly turned out con­tin­gents of the re­cruits pre­sented him the guard of hon­our. Laud­ing high stan­dard of train­ing he said Rangers were de­fend­ing eastern bor­der of the coun­try vig­i­lantly.

Be­sides, the rangers were de­ployed on se­cu­rity du­ties and fight­ing ter­ror­ists across the coun­try to main­tain peace. He said ex­trem­ists and ter­ror­ists be­ing in mi­nor­ity were pos­ing a great chal­lenge to our po­lit­i­cal and so­cial sys­tem. He said on­go­ing Zar­beAzab op­er­a­tion had elim­i­nated safe heav­ens of ter­ror­ists and they were on the run now. He said se­cu­rity agen­cies with the sup­port of army and rangers had al­ready bro­ken their back­bone.

Their re­main­ing el­e­ments would also be wreaked in due course of time. He said work on PCEC project was in progress and army as­sisted by rangers would com­plete it within sched­uled time. Once com­pleted, the PCEC will boost na­tional econ­omy.
