Spe­cial train­ing cour­ses for work­ers

SIALKOT—Na­tional Vo­ca­tional and Tech­ni­cal Train­ing Com­mis­sion (NAVTTC) will soon de­sign spe­cial train­ing cour­ses for lo­cal un­skilled work­ers by keep­ing needs of in­dus­tries which would be ini­ti­ated in an ac­tive co­op­er­a­tion with the Sialkot Cham­ber of Com­merce and In­dus­try.

This was stated by Ex­ec­u­tive Di­rec­tor of Na­tional Vo­ca­tional and Tech­ni­cal Train­ing Com­mis­sion, Zul­fiqar Ahmed Cheema while ad­dress­ing par­tic­i­pants of a meet­ing of ex­porters at the SCCI here on Thurs­day. Act­ing SCCI Pres­i­dent Muham­mad Sar­fraz Butt presided over the meet­ing.

He said the NAVTTC would also pro­vide tech­ni­cal as­sis­tance, guid­ance and help for devel­op­ing sur­gi­cal, sports goods and leather gar­ments in­dus­tries on mod­ern lines. He said the NAVTTC had been play­ing a piv­otal role in pro­mot­ing ad­vanced skills train­ing cour­ses across Pak­istan for pro­vid­ing highly skilled work forces to in­dus­tries, adding that this train­ing would also help pro­vide max­i­mum job op­por­tu­ni­ties to lo­cal youth.
