No down­pour this week

ISLAMABAD —Mer­cury would rise fur­ther in dif­fer­ent parts of the coun­try this week with no down­pour ac­cord­ing to the Pak­istan Me­te­o­ro­log­i­cal Depart­ment (PMD).

An of­fi­cial of PMD told APP that the day tem­per­a­tures would fur­ther rise from two to four cel­sius de­gree dur­ing the next few days due to which hot weather con­di­tions would pre­vail in most parts of the coun­try.

How­ever, the of­fi­cial said, a westerly wave sys-tem is likely to en­ter Balochis­tan prov­ince on Mon­day night (May 2) which would bring good rain in Pun­jab, Khy­ber Pakhtunkhwa, North­ern Balochis­tan, Kash­mir and Gil­git Baltistan. Hot or very hot and dry weather is likely to pre­vail over the most parts of the Sindh Prov­ince in the next 24 hours.—APP
