Violation of traffic rules

Pakistan Observer - - OPINION - UROOJ FATIMA

Violation of the traffic rules on the Karachi roads has been on rise for a couple of years. As we all know, the youngsters are mostly found involved in these type of activities, where they violate the rules and don’t obey the code of conduct of traffic in the country. They have the privilege of driving their cars or bikes as and when they want. There are many reasons for this and one of them is that there is no strict check on youngsters these days.

Parents need to realize that their children are not secure when they drive. Impatient young drivers often end up in accidents; adults also have to realize that it is their duty to drive safety on roads and not just blame the youngsters what is happening. It is the need of the day for the police to take strict measures against underage driving in Karachi. They should also make sure that everyone follows traffic rules. —Karachi
