Soomro di­rects to de­mol­ish shops in­side Masjid Abul Fazal

KARACHI—Spe­cial As­sis­tant to Chief Min­is­ter Sindh on Auqaf and Re­li­gious Af­fairs, Dr. Ab­dul Qay­oom Soomro, vis­ited Masjid Abul Fazal Hy­der­abad.

Dur­ing his visit, he di­rected Com­mis­sioner, Deputy Com­mis­sioner, DIG and SSP Hy­der­abad to im­me­di­ately de­mol­ish 10 shops in the premises of the Mosque, said a state­ment is­sued here on Thurs­day. This he said while speak­ing to a gath­er­ing of re­li­gious schol­ars present on the oc­ca­sion.

He ob­served that Mosques are purely for the sake of wor­ship and prayers of God, hence, any kind of en­croach­ments that cause hin­drances around Mosques are strictly in­tol­er­a­ble.

Dr. Ab­dul Qay­oom said that the depart­ment of Auqaf and re­li­gious Af­fairs is there to pro­mote peace har­mony and cor­dial at­mos­phere among the fol­low­ers of all sects and re­li­gions of the prov­ince.
