City admn turns down PML- N’s re­quest for rally

LA­HORE— La­hore city’s dis­trict ad­min­is­tra­tion on Fri­day turned down Pak­istan Mus­lim League- Nawaz’s ( PMLN) re­quest to or­gan­ise a rally on May 1 on the ba­sis of se­cu­rity con­cerns.

PML- N mi­nor­ity wing leader Kam­ran Michael made the an­nounce­ment to or­gan­ise a rally in the city to show sol­i­dar­ity with the Prime Min­is­ter ( PM) Nawaz Sharif af­ter the on­set of the Panama Leaks. How­ever, the lo­cal ad­min­is­tra­tion de­nied giv­ing per­mis­sion to the party to pro­ceed with their plans.

The re­quest was turned down on the ba­sis of se­cu­rity con­cerns as the dis­trict ad­min­is­tra­tion was of the view that it shall be an up­hill task to en­sure the safety of the rally keep­ing in view that sim­i­lar events are be­ing or­gan­ised in the city on the very same date.
