City admn turns down PML- N’s request for rally
LAHORE— Lahore city’s district administration on Friday turned down Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz’s ( PMLN) request to organise a rally on May 1 on the basis of security concerns.
PML- N minority wing leader Kamran Michael made the announcement to organise a rally in the city to show solidarity with the Prime Minister ( PM) Nawaz Sharif after the onset of the Panama Leaks. However, the local administration denied giving permission to the party to proceed with their plans.
The request was turned down on the basis of security concerns as the district administration was of the view that it shall be an uphill task to ensure the safety of the rally keeping in view that similar events are being organised in the city on the very same date.
