Up­lift projects

PE­SHAWAR— Khy­ber Pakhtunkhwa Min­is­ter for Fi­nance, Muzaf­far Said Ad­vo­cate has said that pro­vin­cial gov­ern­ment wel­comed an­nounce­ment made by the Prime Min­is­ter, Muham­mad Nawaz Sharif in Man­shera’s pub­lic meet­ing about up­lift projects say­ing the peo­ple would ben­e­fit from it. Talk­ing to var­i­ous del­e­ga­tions here, he ex­pressed the con­fi­dence that an­nounce­ment re­gard­ing up­lift projects would be im­ple­mented in let­ter and spirit and it would not be sub­jected to un­nec­es­sary de­lay. He hoped that cen­tre would pro­vide needed pro­vin­cial re­sources on time. He said that KP gov­ern­ment was busy in mak­ing re­al­is­tic bud­get pro­pos­als with main fo­cus to avoid un­nec­es­sary tax­a­tion bur­den on the peo­ple. No new tax would be in­tro­duced in­stead the present taxes would be read­justed. The KP fi­nance min­ster said that we were look­ing for­ward to the co­op­er­a­tion of fed­eral gov­ern­ment in bud­get mak­ing process and added that cen­ter should take us on board on the sub­ject mat­ter.— APP
