PM’s visit to Kotli Sat­tian

On Mon­day, the 25th April 2016, Prime Min­is­ter Nawaz Sharif ad­dressed the peo­ple of Kotli Sat­tian, at a func­tion or­gan­ised for dis­tri­bu­tion of cheques among the vic­tims of land slid­ing. Min­is­ter of Pe­tro­leum and Nat­u­ral Re­sources Shahid Khaqan Ab­basi who rep­re­sents Mur­ree was also there on the oc­cas­sion. Kotli sat­tian is a bor­der­ing town of Pun­jab with Azad Kash­mir and Prime Min­is­ter said that his Gov­ern­ment had planned to build a state of the art road along the river Jehlum from Muza­farabad to Mir­pur.

It will also be linked with Kotli sat­tian while a num­ber of bridges would also be con­structed on the river. He said that his visit was to pro­vide fi­nan­cial as­sis­tance to the af­fected peo­ple by floods and land­slides but he was amazed to see the huge crowd af­ter giv­ing away cheques among the af­fected per­sons. The Prime Min­is­ter di­rected the Com­mis­sioner of area to en­sure that left over af­fected per­sons must get the com­pen­sa­tiony cheques within 24 hours and ac­cord­ingly he should re­port him about it.

The Prime Min­is­ter an­nounced car­pet­ing of all ma­jor roads and con­struc­tion of a mod­ern hos­pi­tal in Kotli Sat­tian. He asked peo­ple to sug­gest for new roads for pro­mot­ing tourism gen­er­at­ing eco­nomic ac­tiv­i­ties and cre­at­ing em­ploy­ments in Kotli sat­tian. Min­is­ter of pe­tro­leum and nat­u­ral re­sources Shahid Khaqan Ab­bassi re­ferred to the de­vel­op­ment ac­tiv­i­ties go­ing on for Kotli Sat­tian and said Nawaz Sharif was the first Prime Min­is­ter to visit Kotli sat­tian. The Pro­vin­cial Labour Min­is­ter Raja Ash­faq Sar­war and Khur­ram Saeed Satti Ad­vo­cate also ad­dressed the gath­er­ing. — Is­lam­abad
